What makes New Zealand such a special location? How long have you got!
NEW ZEALAND'S CLIMATE AND SEASONS
With New Zealand being a Southern Hemisphere country we thus have reverse seasons to Northern Hemisphere countries.
Northern Hemisphere Southern Hemisphere
Summer Winter (June - August)
Fall / Autumn Spring (September - November)
Winter Summer (December - February)
Spring Autumn (March - May)
The New Zealand Summer sees long warm sunny days especially here in the Queenstown area where we are more or less sitting on the 45 Degree South Latitude Line.
The New Zealand Autumn ( Fall ) usually brings very settled weather, it's the time of year when we experience the wondrous natural colour change in the landscape and fantastic light with the sun being further away and lower in the northern sky.
The New Zealand Winter sees shorter days, wonderfully soft and very forgiving low light that exposes much that is hidden throughout the remainder of the year. Here in the South Island / Queenstown area we have cool, crisp days surrounded by snow capped mountain peaks and World Class winter sports facilities.
The New Zealand Spring see the return of colour to the region, the cooler temperatures retreat and the days become longer, a great time for those alpine jobs that require snow or the jobs that benefit from rolling green pasture.
A majestic time of year here in New Zealand with the benefit of each day becoming longer!
